Although we celebrate Mother's Day today our thoughts are with the biker that lost his life last evening as the result of a car running a red light. He was from out of town and we do not know his name however as a biker community it effects us all.
Today we again spent our day at the activities south of the city of Myrtle Beach. We heard some of the best bands we have heard in years and will be posting photos on several venues. The bikers are here and are strong. They are intent on not going away as are the vendors.
Join us this week as we begin our first official day tomorrow with vendors at Suck Bang Blow, Hoof & Finz, Hooters, Broken Spoke and other areas around the south side that are happy to have the bikers and their activities.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2009
Despite the best efforts of the Myrtle Beach powers that be - Bike Week in Horry County, South Carolina is alive and well. Although things have moved some - up North to North Myrtle Beach and South to Surfside Beach, Garden City and Murrells Inlet - the bikers are here and the vendors are setting up.
Kick Off Friday was as good as could be expected with out of town riders finding the new locations of vendors and hangouts - but today (Saturday) things are in full swing. Tonight is a Swim Suit contest at the Murrells Inlet Hooters Restaurant and both locations of Suck Bang Blow are going strong.
The vendor locations can be found on the Myrtle Beach Bike Week link on this site and a listing of the Myrtle Beach City Limits check points can be found online through Google. We will have this feature added to the site for the fall rally.
